Re: Starmourn's first two playable races
Every sci-fi franchise and game has to have a sexy female alien with some non-human skin tone. If we were playing sci-fi Bingo, they'd be the free space.
And you have HUMANS as a playable race? Oh my goodness, the creativity never ceases to astound. He looks like a cross between Han Solo and Mick Jagger. |

Re: Starmourn's first two playable races
Criticism is not hate. The thing is, we have a second thread on this game, and one announces the two most predictable races you could have for a game set in space with aliens. The more original the idea, the more I love it.
I'm calling it now, there's probably going to be a race of brutish space warriors (Klingons) and space elves (Vulcans). You've gotta have your sexy Twi'lek race on the website, it's almost a law of game advertising these days. Sexy anime girls in miniskirts or chainmail bikinis are a big draw, until you realize the game is probably T for Teen so there's not going to be any TNA. |

Re: Starmourn's first two playable races
MUDs don't tend to submit to the ratings board, so there will be no official rating, but if you have a look at the language used on you can probably draw your own conclusions about what rating that might be were it to be rated.
(If anyone's offended by profanity, you're probably best staying away from that page.) |

Obviously I'm talking about the common practice of having some kind of picture of a girl on a website to draw people in. Internet games don't do the ESRB system.

I am expecting insectoid creatures like Necrophages in Endless Legend(turn-based 4X fantasy-space game). That would be my favourite.

It's the Internet ffs. Players will create the TNA content five minutes after character creation. The game producer's job is to give you and your friend something ELSE to do.

Heh heh.
There's a term that arose about 15 years ago called 'Time Until Penis' in the game dev community that refers to how many minutes it'll take between releasing something that allows users to produce their own content (even if by just re-arranging objects on the ground in a graphical MMO) and when the first user uses that power to make a penis. It's typically something you assume will be measured in minutes or seconds. |
