Someone I know just stumbled upon this in his university library. Thought it would be useful for those that want to try making their own MUD (from scratch that is).
Just be aware, that it appears pretty limited; and from a content design aspect for a Mud-game it appears to be quite poor. None the less, for a beginner that wants to learn how to program a mud from scratch (in C) you might find this useful. Again, just don't do any thing he suggest content wise, like resetting everyone's HP every minute... |

If you're looking for a more MUD-concepts driven book, Richard Bartle's definitive text is . It doesn't go into the coding aspect, but looks at the overall design, setup, concept, etc etc. Bartle was the lead on British Legends (or MUD1) if anyone remembers that, sort of the father of most MUDs today.
