Doing some research. Need some help.
I'm doing some research and need some help.
Hourglass and Rapture -- I'm looking for other professional MUD OS, that will potentially sell their code base to interested parties. Or if there are any free MUD OS that allow one to make a profit legally from. Any names, websites would be appreciated. Thanks |

That is a listing of open source mud codebases, all of which should allow commercial use. In addition to that list, DGD can be licensed commercially and there is an LP codebase called Shattered Worlds that was released under the GPL. There was also a DIKU II codebase designed for commercial use but I have no idea if that is still available. |

Thanks for that site -- that's exactly what I'm looking for. Do any clients run under windows? I remember back in the day there was a penn mush that ran underwindows... except is there a mud codebase that will?
With this penn mush, you could run it off of your own pc, which acted like a server... anything similar with muds? Thanks |

Do you mean running the game server on Windows? If so then yes there are a few codebases that run natively on windows and many more that can be run using cygwin. The site I linked above also has a list of such codebases.
