House of Ghouls - MUD Description | |
House of Ghouls is a fun, fantasy-style MUD. Many of the features come from the ideas of the players and we are always open to hearing more suggestions from our players. House of Ghouls is a fairly reasonable, and quite friendly MUD. It may have a strange name, but don't let that stop you from visiting or finding a new place to call home! A few specifics: House of Ghouls has 12 classes to choose from and any two classes can be combined into a dual-class. If dual-class is not your thing, you can opt to choose a single class and can tier into a more advanced class once reaching avatar level. House of Ghouls also offers 23 different races to choose from, each with their own pros and cons. House of Ghouls does not have a level-based eq system. Any character of any level may wear any piece of equipment, provided it is not restricted by their class. There are two types of randomly generated equipment: normal and artifact. Artifact randoms generally will have more powerful affects than normal random equipment. House of Ghouls also offers optional PlayerKilling. All characters start out as non-deadly and may choose to become a deadly player-killer by the time they reach level 25. Several types of quests are offered, each with their own types of rewards. Lua enhancements allow for some of these quests to be quite involving and may have a much greater reward than standard quests. Most quests reward the character with some kind of points upon successful completion. The different types of points have different uses varying from buying quest equipment and items to enhancing abilities of the character. |
