Peninsulae SPQR - MUD Description | |
"While trying to sail over the mediterranean sea you got lost, and finally your ship grounded on an offshore barrier reef. The result is simple, here you are on an island, the inhabitants live the ancient roman way, still hoping to be rescued. If that happened to you hours ago, weeks or years, you are here now, and have to live in this world with mixed ancient cultures, weird rites and slavery...." SPQR is a free, online, text-based game with a unique BSDM theme. It is for adults only, but players seeking only a hastened sexual encounter within SPQR have missed its purpose, for SPQR is a roleplaying game about the slavery lifestyle. Slavery is its theme, but personal slavery is optional. Each new character begins life marooned but free. Throughout life, a character may either be trained as a slave or cultivate enough standing to become the owner of slaves. A character may even learn the particular trade of one of our guilds, or perhaps some new, yet unknown path. All this depends upon the aspirations of the player. Because a strong fantasy roleplaying environment is desired, roleplaying is mandatory within SPQR. Multiplaying and character-sharing are forbidden, though a single, alternate character can be obtained on a conditional basis. Weather patterns change seasonally. Room descriptions vary at night. Personal descriptions may include multiple levels of clothing to reflect the detail along various stages of dress, customized according to the whim of the player. An extremely advanced, directable emoting system is available to assist the enterprising roleplayer at times when the stock emoting commands are found wanting. Money acquired during the game can be spent on custom items, room rental, slave rental, and various other sorts of player-driven transactions. Online help, website help, a player newsboard, an optional newbie channel, and a friendly playerbase are all at hand to help familiarize new players. |
