Heirs of Crevetier - MUD Description | |
The Heirs of Crevetier has been in development for over two years and is nearing the end of beta testing. We will be having a 6-month gamma period dedicated to class balance starting on July 30 2003. Our game features ideas and concepts that few, if any, other MUDs have implemented successfully. I can't even begin to describe them all here, but among them are: removal of round-based combat - we use weapon speeds instead; delay-result spellcasting that allows for interruption and additional strategy; combat styles to reduce the tedium of hack and slash; 16 unique and interesting classes; multi-tiered race system to reward people for hitting max level without making them give up their max level character; accountable and responsible admin team; complete trade skill system; builder-designed automated questing; faction system to organize NPCs into logical groups and influence how they react to you; countless interface customization options and details; alternate advancement system to gain new skills at your own pace; forgiving character development system that lets you correct mistakes and doesn't force you to make a throwaway character just to learn the game; completely player-controlled clan system that is self-governed - no IMM interference; no rent system, you may quit and keep your equipment; safe banks to store money and back-up equipment; continually improving, balancing, and adding new features; interactive web page; newbie friendly player base, and newbie-friendly learning curve and advancement system; class team lead system for addressing balance issues and making recommendations; experienced, veteran team of admins working to provide you with an entertaining game, not a platform for powertripper; so much more! You owe it to yourself to come see what we've done. Tell your friends! |
