| Ruins of Korinthia - MUD Description | |
| Ruins of Korinthia is a MUD set within a fantasy world of magic, monsters, and aliens. A battle is being waged between the forces of Good and Evil, a battle which knows no beginning and no end. Players can choose to create a noble character to fight for Good, or a dark and twisted character who wishes Evil to rule the lands. Each side gives the player a choice of twelve distinct races. Once the choice has been made, the player can team up with other players on the same side, and gain experience, kill players of the other side, and occasionally solve a quest. The player can further build-out his character by advancing thru 12 different professions, joining guilds, and by acquiring unique and special weapons with which to defeat his foes and stand by his allies. There are also some teachers who roam the lands and are willing to teach players new skills, spells and songs if the player has the ability to learn and use them. The player can also further build-out his character by a process called remort. Remorting is not a easy task to do though, as it will require a lot of play and character buildup. but once you are able to do so, you will be rewarded with 5 extra stat points to add to your character, the choice of getting a additional 25 practice points or 2 points of attack power (AP), and their are other benefits if you remort more than one time. Of course, not only players inhabit the world of Korinthia. A host of animals, humans, elves, demons, aliens and other fantasy creatures wander about ready to teach a player new skills, or challenging the player to battle. Some of these characters are so unfriendly that they attack on sight, and rarely do they let their mark get away once battle has commenced. Other characters carry interesting items which can be claimed through battle or stolen from them. Such items might be valuables, armor, weapons, equipment, or rubbish. It is up to the player to decide what to take along, and what to leave behind. |
