Quest event announcement: OCTOBER 30, 2002 - Open to all

The City of Crimson needs your help! Wave upon wave of foul stirges have invaded, sucking the blood of the citizenry, and making a general nuisance of themselves. The mayor has issued an urgent appeal to any and all who would help rid the city of these vile, despicable creatures! Reward offered to everyone who answers the call. (A newcomer-friendly event, come visit us!).

I have a real question, not one of those fakey Wenlin questions.

Do I get a prize if I bring a friend?

Do I get a bigger prize if I bring more than one friend?

Do I get anything at all if I bring someone that I don't even know\like?

Are there penalties to coming alone?

Can I bring "myself" (dare I say, multiplay?)

Hi Wenlin,

In answer to your questions:

The mayor of the City of Crimson has assured me he will offer special rewards to any and all characters who help the cause, even if they come alone (I can just picture The Lone StirgeSwatter riding into town).

About 'bringing yourself': our mud does not allow multiplaying, although you are free to play any number of 'alts' provided only one is logged on at a time. And yes, the mayor will reward all of the "you"s that help do the squashing.

I suggested bringing a friend, because its been my own experience that such wholesale splatting of blood-sucking critters is a healthy social activity.

Lastly, everyone is most welcome to visit our mud before the Oct 30 event, to get an idea of what 'normal' days are like and see what makes us different from other muds.

Hi everyone!

We had a great turnout for our first quest. Congratulations goes out to Reflickan, who was the first player to earn the coveted stirge medallion. Other players who participated (and some of whom also earned medallions) were Blyst, Astera, Aeromus, Ulrenne, Peaseblossom, Paeana, Aryndel, Mergex.

A warm welcome goes out to Locrian, Alana, Kalmorah, Kenjiro, and Tebbith - 5 new players who started characters during our 24 hour Oct 30 quest, we hope you enjoyed your visit and will come back to see us soon.

Finally, thanks to my fellow immortals Cywry and Darkenvai who really worked their tails off in preparation for the big day.

Now lets begin thinking of something for November...
