The first world coming online for players in our prequel mini-MUSH, OtherSpace 2: Foundations, will be Ungstir. We'll bring it online on Thursday, January 2, 2003.

In OS2, it's the year 2598, on the brink between the 26th and 27th centuries, more than 50 years before the first events that transpired during the first official OtherSpace story arc.

The Ungstiri people are stubborn, pragmatic, fatalistic - and they've got the three big chunks of Ungstir circling around each other in dangerously close proximity. But they haven't been conquered by the Kretonians or the Nall, and they enjoy cordial relations with the Stellar Consortium, even if Ungstir is an independent world within the rough-and-tumble realm of the Fringe. The Ungstiri are governed by a prime minister and several citizens committees, with mining interests holding particular sway.

Got an idea for a pre-Kretonian, pre-The-Hivers-and-Kamir-are-eeeevil Ungstiri character? Perhaps an ancestor of your current favorite Ungstiri alt?
