Recently the slums have been expanded to make the playground far bigger and fun for all you nonsense sneaky sneaks or brutish thuggish thugs. Sewers? Yeah we have them. Rooftops? Sure do! Be that vigilante, that double agent, or merely a slummer trying to find food for this next meal or that aspiring gang leader/crimelord selling dark intel/illegal things for a hefty price.

You're going to be playing the meanest, lawless part of town, the Shaada Rue. Either stay in or get out, get rich or stay poor, die getting out or kill getting in.

(Rape/sexual harassment/torture/gore roleplay is allowed but under heavy scrutiny, as long as the receiving party responds favourably or gives OOC consent to subjugate their PC to said horrors. Always know your player rights.)

There's a couple of roles if we're talking city proper side.

1. Military needs more people to rebuild the squad and take on the challenges of evil. And the go to people for expedition and martial jobs. Even if you want to be part of the military but not wanting to be soldiers, we can have other roles like a administrative persons and taking care of the soldiers' well being, etc.
2. Kavka needs miners, merchants, salespeople.
3. Avasars aren't looking to hire anyone currently, I believe.
4. Nadu, perhaps, merchants, salespeople, hunters, dancers and performers for their Lounge (that is uber exclusive).
5. Slums if you wanna play hardmode or the criminal enterprise (I think there's one absurdly strong but responsible thief/assassin in there right now).
6. Regular citizens of the regular class, looking to add flavor, atmosphere and just more social joys in the Greasy Bastard and Nadu Teahouse.

I think your game may need to have a lot more people playing than it usually does in order for people to take these roles and actually have anything meaningful to do. It usually seems like there's about 8-15 people on at any given time and they're scattered around without so much as a "where rp" command if they're not in the Greasy Bastard.

That's really not the case. There are many places you can find out where people are, but the rooms in which that is the case are all individually flagged, and they are rooms where it would make IC sense for you to be able to get that information - like on a lot of the rooftops, where you'd be able to see traffic on the road? Access. Military clan hall? Access. Other clan halls? Access in some, on request in others. Same at the fountain in the center of town, and the gate out of the city. There are rooms all over where you can see anyone willing to report where their pc is/what they're up to... but only in places where it would make sense to be able to access the information.


In addition, when I'm on at least (usually late nights eastern/central time), there tends to be 12-16, not 8.

At different times of the day, I've seen 8-15 people online. It's practically empty.

That's not the case, no. You have to be in those places to see who is reporting their location, and you have to be in those locations to report your location. It doesn't disappear when you move, it disappears when you logout, but that's a different thing entirely. And you can (and I have) report from one of those places that I'd be somewhere else, and go there. Often to great effect.

Okay, but it still doesn't change the fact that the population of the game is consistently very low.
