Starmourn launches with almost 500 players online!
launched yesterday to a lot of interest despite some fairly serious bugs that cropped up (and are fixed or being fixed). We peaked at about 480 players online, and even now, far from peak hours, we have 225 people on!
This far exceeds the level of interest we thought we'd see in Starmourn's launch, and couldn't be happier about it. Come blast off with us and be part of the first generation of Starmourn players! Website: Play: |

Congratulations on the launch and the massive engagement!!!!
It is great to see such a bold, ambitious project in the text game space. Even though we've been making graphical games/MMOs lately, we continue to put a ton of resources into Threshold because text games still have a lot of unique experiences to offer. I still believe very strongly in text games as a genre. Your launch proves that in a big way! I actually had hoped to participate in the beta but just couldn't find the time. ![]() |

Thanks! The interest has exceeded my expectation and it's gratifying to see that putting real resources into a new MUD today appears like it's actually going to have been worth it. Bodes well for the future!

That is awesome. I'd love to see text games continue to get their due.
I think especially with mobile, people have learned some important lessons about what a quality gameplay experience entails, and it isn't always the bleeding edge graphics. |
