Chiaroscuro's new trade system is now online! It works a little something like this:

Nine townships throughout the realm of Fastheld contain NPC trade merchants that sell goods that are in demand. Loads of these goods can be purchased by traders at cost and then sold for a profit to the NPC trade merchant in the central Market District of Fastheld.

The trade merchant in the Market District sells only one commodity: Influence vouchers. These can be redeemed at the Influence Peddler NPC in Lightholder Crossroads. You can monitor your influence in the realm by typing +influence. The rating will be useful as more valuable and exclusive cargos are added to the system.

Each cargo "load" takes up 20 units of encumbrance, so players with mounts and wagons are at an advantage. However, anyone with access to an automated carriage can make cargo runs, provided they've got room in their +inventory.

Townships with trade merchants so far are: Aegisport, Hedgehem, Wedgecrest, East Leg, Southwatch, Eastwatch, Nillu's Load, Silkfield, and Hawk's Aerie.
