Looking for staff. THe mud is highly AD&D influenced and follows the 2nd edition AD&D rules. The muid is roleplay enforced and has been in development for a long time and is highly customized. Just out of curiousity: Why AD&D 2E?

Don't get me wrong, I played with those rules for years and years, but in retrospect it seems a lot like repeatedly jabbing a non-sharp stick in my eye. Obviously you don't see it the same way or you wouldn't have picked that ruleset, so I'm interested in hearing what you think are the strengths/advantages of it versus, say, D&D 3E or another ruleset.
