I'm trying to teach myself to code, bit by bit...
I bought one of those self-teaching books that comes with software for compling (MS Visual 6.0)... I was wondering... Is C++ the best language to start learning code? |

Is there anywhere on the internet where I can learn C and start coding? I'm just trying to find another hobby to do, and I don't really want to spend money.

I've heard that the (by Greg M. Perry) is a good book for non-programmers who wish to learn C.
K&R (aka "The C Programming Language"), as mentioned previously, is definitely worth having as well - but it serves better as a reference than a learning tool, IMO. |
