Coming in April: Luirsfest!

Nobody throws a party like House Kurac, purveyor of the finest mind-altering spices and most-desirable desert gear. Located between the city-states of Allanak and Tuluk, Luir's Outpost is a quiet trading post that comes alive for Luirsfest, when wagons and mounts convey large numbers of visitors to its walls.

This annual player-run event attracts people from all areas of the Known World, be they Tuluki bards, Allanaki mercenaries, desert elves, or exotic tribal humans. Taking place over the course of two weeks, the much-loved festival includes pit fighting, the Tall Tales contest, the drinking competition, an archery contest, ginka-sauce wrestling, and the ever-popular exotic dancing competition. Recent World Events:
Catastrophic disasters have occurred around the world...

- The world trembled and groaned, it seemed as if the very earth was in pain.
- A large shape crossed the sky, a huge shadow that was tinged with light at its edges as it moved towards the sun and moons.
- The world shuddered and went dark. Silence reigned supreme for a short time.
- In the darkness moisture fell. Small droplets fell to the world below, rain came to the Known World for the first time in recorded history.
- After a short time, the light rain ceased, but the world remained dark.
- In the wilderness, all the normal, natural patterns were disrupted, leaving animals jittery and acting unpredictably, some dangerously so... while some of the sparse vegetation of the Zalanthan eco-system started to wilt and droop.
- In the city-state of Allanak, rioters set fire to buildings and persecuted the hated gemmed magickers.
- In the city-state of Tuluk, theft and murder ran rampant, citizens living in fear for their lives.
- The darkness finally lifted, showing a new, black moon hanging in the sky.
- Tuluk was flooded with murky water, the floods destroying some buildings and leaving sinkholes and carnage behind.
- Allanak came under attack of fire from the sky and elementals, a new mountain of volcanic obsidian rising in the southwest.
- Near Luir's Outpost and the gypsy lands of Tyn Dashra, winds kicked up and tore at people and buildings, while strange creatures caused damage and death.
- Currently, citizens in both Allanak and Tuluk are working toward repairing the damage caused by these events.

Recent Additions to the Game:
-The riding system has received several code additions, from the 'trample' ability for highly-skilled riders, to a wider range of results when unskilled riders begin to learn how to ride.
-New city-elf tribes have been opened for play in both Tuluk and Allanak.
-The 'Artwork' section of Player Submissions now shows in gallery format:
-A new mineral deposit and several scary things added to the Silt Sea, along with a skimmer dock south of Red Storm.
-A wider variety of plants can now be found in many wilderness locations. Plants can now be used to craft greater number of food seasonings, soaps, incense, and perfumes. Plantlife documentation greatly expanded:
-Numerous liquid-brewing possibilities added for players, from personal teapots, to alcohol stills for some clans. New teas, wines, and liquors added.
-Automated wage payment implemented for some clans.
-Reroll Undo - You can now choose to revert to your original stats after rerolling.
