Today and this weekend New Worlds Ateraan has the Annual Love Day celebration where the Matron of Gahlen City's famous Brothel wanders the town handing out love candy with the cute messages on them. What could be more fun to roleplay on a Valentine's Day?

Nothing against that at all - but since when are reallife dates MUD dates?
When I used to grow up, we roleplayed in a virtual world where reallife had no place.  |

I think it is a pretty common practice for muds to have their own version of real life holidays and it makes it much easier for the player base to remember in-game festivals and events when they coincide with real life holidays. I like it when the muds I play do this.
