To those of you who haven't noticed yet, this is the staffing
board... so if you're not imterested in being a staff member...
Assault: High Tech War is coming back - Our old server
isn't, it appears, and the great people at Dragonabyss
gave the Mud a new home. And now, before reopening to the
public, the game will be going through some changes. It
will be reopened when these changes are done, which will
probably not be more than a month or a few weeks.
(by the way, is being back means more flash ads and other
weird stuff in the near future D)
About the game
The Mud is a pure PK, futuristic war game. Players build
their own military bases from a selection of 8 different
technology trees and over a hundred different buildings,
on an overhead map, and set out to fight and destroy other
players. They may form alliances, build vehicles, create
The following positions are needed:
Builders - Not really builders as much as object
makers - since there are no real rooms in the game. The
objects are basically guns and armor, with
modern/futuristic themes (flamethrowers, sniper
rifles...). The builders are able to customize almost
every aspect of the item, they can even include a picture
for people with MXP inline-image support.
Note that the building isn't a long-term job, however the
path from being a builder to applying to one of the other
positions is less painful than it is for normal players.
There is also an option to write building descriptions.
Building Stat Writers - Basically, people who can
stat buildings: HP and shield values, descriptions, help
files, costs... High pereference to people who are already
familiar with the game system. The point of this position
is to have a balanced list of buildings, to compliment
their technology tree.
Peacekeepers - Sounds strange for a war-based, full
PK Mud, but yes, there is a dire need for peacekeepers.
These people will make sure that the wars stay in-game,
and not burst out on public channels, keep the profinity
levels down, keep people from breaking the rules and
punish them if they do.
Knowledge and experience of how the game works is a plus.

Sounds great, and welcome back, Amnon. Did you get my earlier post with the spyware suggestion? Anyway, ASSAULT is an awesome game, though not for the weak of stomach. I'd offer to lend a hand but am too busy these days myself! Oh well, hope to see the game back up soon, and hey, this time think about reducing the annoying colors!

When you create a character, there's an option to use minimal colors. I started this because people gave me -a few- places that annoyed them color-wise. So if you could just contact me via email and we can go through the places you think are too "loud", it'll be fixed.
